OUR DOCTORS

Dr Susan Zhang

Susan is the owner and Principal Dentist of Point Cook Dental Group. She graduated from The University of Otago. Over the years she has developed a wide range of experiences, having worked in Bendigo and Swan Hill. She enjoys working in the country and serving the local community with quality dentistry. Currently, Susan works part time at Swan Hill and Point Cook. She keeps up with the latest techniques in dentistry, such as Cerec CAD/CAM technology and has developed a particular interest in crowns and bridges. She also enjoys a varied day involving all facets of general dentistry.

She is a mum of two children who seem to occupy much of her spare moments when she’s not at work.

Dr Sharon Chui

Dr. Sharon Chui came to Australia at a very young age from Hong Kong. She graduated with Bachelor of Health Sciences in Dentistry and Master of Dentistry from LaTrobe University. Prior to joining Point Cook Dental Group, she worked in several rural towns around Victoria. Her fluency in languages enables her to converse immensely well in English, Chinese, Mandarin and Cantonese. She practices general dentistry with passion especially in endodontic and has good experience in implant insertion and restoration. Her enthusiasm in dentistry has also motivated her in giving talks on oral hygiene to children in schools.

During her spare time, Sharon plays Guzheng, a Chinese musical instrument and has performed in some public concerts in Melbourne.

Dr Christina Shue

Dr. Christina graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2009. She worked for a private practice in Bendigo, as well as practices in Carlton, Malvern and Pascoe vale, before joining Point Cook Dental group and now lives locally. She is originally from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and can speak basic Mandarin and Cantonese. She enjoys getting to know her patients and their families and is always available for a chat. She finds it most rewarding when a previously fearful patient overcomes their fear of the dentist and finishes their treatment with a beautiful smile.Christina has a special interest in the diagnosis and dental treatment for sleep apnoea as well as straightening teeth, whether it be with conventional braces, Invisalign or the Inman Aligner.She also is proficient in root canals treatment, crowns, aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry and enjoys treating kids.

Christina spends the rest of her time with her young boy, husband and cat. She enjoys doing yoga and watching movies.

Dr Jennifer Leung

Dr.Jennifer received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Melbourne. She previously worked in private practice in country Victoria before recently relocating back to Melbourne. Dr.Jennifer enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, particularly restorative and aesthetic dentistry as well as root canal treatment. She is dedicated to educating patients about prevention and providing comprehensive care. She also prides herself on being a gentle clinician to make dental visits more comfortable especially for anxious patients.

 

In her spare time, Dr.Jennifer enjoys cooking and experimenting with new recipes, exercising, and spending time outdoors. She is originally from Toronto, Canada and fluent in English and Cantonese.

Dr Prema Ghasemi

Dr Prema Ghasemi graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of Sheffield, UK. Prior to obtaining her dental degree she obtained her integrated Bachelor of Science and Masters (MChem/BSc) in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Leeds, UK in 2015.

Dr Prema aims to provide a high quality, health-centred dentistry tailored to each of her patient’s individual needs and is passionate about ensuring her patient’s visit to the clinic is positive and comfortable one. Prema takes pride in her attention to detail in her work, and calm, gentle, and approachable demeanour with her patients. She has had the privilege of working closely with highly nervous and anxious patients and has been successful in putting them at ease and delivering the necessary dental care in a non-judgemental, relaxed, and stress-free environment. Whilst Prema enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, she has particular interest in endodontics, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry. Prema loves to keep herself up to date with the latest technologies, techniques, materials in the dental world. Undertaking frequent professional development courses to further her knowledge and skills is key to her personal development and provision of high standard of dental care.

Outside dentistry Prema enjoys keeping herself fit in the gym, loves exploring new places, spending time with her family and friends. Baking is one of the challenges she would like to tackle though!

Jobeline Madrid

Oral Health Therapist

Jobeline graduated as an oral health therapist and hygienist from LaTrobe University, receiving her Bachelor of Oral Health Science degree. She joined the dental field from a young age, driven by her passion to get to know patients and their families and improve their smiles. She is committed to educating her patients on preventive measures and on the relationship between general and oral health to improve their well-being. She is aware of patients’ anxieties and incorporates tailored strategies to ensure they feel safe and reassured.

In her spare time, Jobeline enjoys reading books, paper quilling and spending quality time with her family. She migrated to Australia from the Philippines at a young age and is fluent in both Filipino and English.
